Mandatory Christmas post...

We just took out the ham from the oven and omg it's soooooo good. We already ate a small piece, but I can't wait to gorge on it tomorrow when we have Christmas dinner. (So worth the eight hours in the oven)
I still can't believe it's Christmas today (in Finland Christmas eve is more important than the actual day... no idea why) but I'm sure the food and presents will make all the difference. xD

In Armenia, New Year's eve is more important than Christmas itself. Christmas (celebrated on Jan. 6) is for going to church and that's all about it :3

Date: 2011-12-25 08:59 pm (UTC)So it's similar to Russia in that sense? (we get a lot of Russian tourists around that time and they celebrate like it's going out of style. xD They also have a kind of Santa, I'm not sure what he's called in English though... and now I'm just rambling, sorry)

Date: 2011-12-25 09:15 pm (UTC)The Russian Santa is called Dyed Moroz (grandfather frost) btw x) and he's always accompanied by his granddaughter Snegurochka (Snowmaiden)
I think I rambled a bit as well xD

Date: 2011-12-26 04:09 pm (UTC)I think frost is the closest word for it in english, but we have a different word for when it gets really cold... Kind of hard to explain. ^_^;
