So I just marathoned all three seasons in like four days... and wow that was a ride! (I love a good time travel romp) I wonder if that was the last season, it seemed like it.

The drawback from spending my weekend like that is, that I didn't do anything else. That's not great, but whatever, maybe it's sometimes okay to literally do nothing for the weekend than just watch tv. (I watched season 2 and 3 this weekend).

It kind of reminded me of Fringe and I really should watch the rest of that show. I think I'm somewhere in season four.

I really don't want to go to work tomorrow, urgh, but I do have two days off because of a course I'm taking for my job, so I get to go to Helsinki for two days, which is nice. I wanted to go see a movie in the IMAX theatre they have in Helsinki, but the only movie I could go see is the Transformers movie and I've only watched the first two(?) I think and both were very stupid. (the franchise is so stupid that not even astolat writing fic for those robots has made me read her stories)

I haven't watched Bumblebee (the new Transformers movie), so take this with a grain of salt, but I've heard very good things about it. It's supposed to be a sweet, fun, very much non-Michael Bay adventure with sympathetic characters :)

That said... I have yet to check out IMAX myself because it is so damn expensive! I missed the first week when I could have gotten in half-price, and it's just... no way I can justify spending €20 on a movie -_- (I've been to an "IMAX" Odeon in London and it was not worth it, but maybe that's because it wasn't proper IMAX). Maybe if I get a gift voucher and only have to pay the extra fee AND there's a movie I really really want to see.

Hmm, I think it might have been a different IMAX, because there are several in London and I went to a random one to kill time (I watched the James Bond movie Spectre). It was apparently one of those "fake" IMAX screens, which don't have the real IMAX projectors... the screen is just big. Iirc the one in Leicester Square and BFI'S IMAX are the real deal. I was disappointed because while it didn't look bad, it didn't look like anything special. :/

You're maybe thinking about Cinamon, which opened in the Redi shopping centre? I've been there once -- they have cheaper tickets, and it's very pretty and clean, but it was totally empty and the experience felt very clinical. I prefer a packed screening, even if it's full of noisy teenagers. :D

It's the fake one unfortunately. Hence my reluctance to go there. As it's a big screen with a good projector, it's still most likely a cool experience -- just not that much different from the Scape screen, which is huuuuuge already. So for my money, idt think the IMAX would add any "lisäarvo"...

There are so many cinemas in Helsinki now! It's weird because a couple years back it seemed like everything was under renovation, and now there are several small indie theatres as well.
