Little bit of progress?

I think my Yuletide fic is done and I sent a message to someone, asking them to beta read it. *fingers crossed* I think it turned out okay... It's really hard for me to say, especially because I've never written for the fandom before, but hopefully my recipient won't feel let down by it. ;___; (it's so scary to write for someone specifically.)

I finished watching the first season of The Vampire Diaries and I liked it. =D The first episode was pretty silly and generic but it got a lot better as the season went on. (the female characters were really nice, I liked them a lot generally, which is rare for me, so yay for that. Matt and Alaric are my over all favourites though. <3)


I thought it would be fun to write down stuff as I was watching the show. It's pretty amusing how I wrote less and less as the season went on. I think I got sucked into the plot more and didn't have the patience to pause the show all the time and write. Still it was fun and I think I'll keep doing it as I watch more. I will scan all of my notes and post them in a separate entry just to keep them for posterity. I always find my own musing hilarious when I come back to them like a year or two later. =D

Yes, we do have bonfire parties. No kid ever fell into one that I went to, but I did see a guy nearly set his face on fire trying to blow fireballs with moonshine. Pro tip: don't take a big breath in after you've lit the lighter. I feel I should tag this #growing up hillbilly or #white trash. :)

Hee~ We only have bonfires here during the midsummer festival, but I guess they must be fun if they are so popular. As long as people really don't fall into them or start forest fires. xD But whoa that fireball thing sounds scary!
