It all started with
arilyn9 who signed up to do 100 top 5 lists for some livejournal challenge thing. Then she complained about it to me and
zelda_88 and in the end the three of us made a pact to see which one of us could make a hundred posts about random things first. (it's yet to be determined what the winner gets. Also I think it's highly likely that none of us will have the patience to stick with this thing until the end, but you never know.) So
zelda_88 posted her first top 5 today and I didn't want to get behind this early so here is mine:
Top 5 cities I have visited:
5. Nara, Japan
I'm not sure how many times we visited there, but I think it was three or four times. Each time we had a lot of fun, the deer are totally adorable, as are the Japanese tourists feeding them. The views are gorgeous and you can learn a lot about history. (basically you could say this about any place in Japan though... xD)

4. Kyoto, Japan
Kyoto is the best! If you ever plan to visit Japan I'd recommend it every time. It's close to other great places to visit (lika Nara) and has everything you could want, shopping, sights, culture, amazing food, friendly people etc etc.

3. Chicago, USA
I had the best time while visiting here and I think there would have been a lot of stuff to do that we missed, although we were there for almost a week. I would definitely go back for another visit.

Can't skip the pizza! It really is as good as people always say. (even if it has the tomato sauce on top, which looks super weird to me)

2. Edinburgh, Scotland
When we went here with
messy_kisses we both concluded that we would like to live there for a couple of years at least. I think that pretty much tells you how much I liked the city. =)

1. London, England
I also wouldn't mind living in London for a bit! There is always so much to do and see, it's crazy.

Special mention to the underground system. So convenient and relatively cheap.

So... 99 to go. This is going to be a piece of cake, right?

Date: 2012-07-03 08:55 pm (UTC)And I've been trying to leave this comment for 15 minutes now with three different browsers and they all crashed because I tried to write on lj at least twice. My computer is getting on my nerves :/
But aa the pictures are so nice! I really wish I had the time and money to travel somewhere this summer, but no :( I'll have to wait till next spring :)
And ugh, This is kind of my fault yes... ^^; But I'll hope it'll be fun instead of tedious :)

Date: 2012-07-04 03:24 pm (UTC)I hope the problem isn't with your computer, because that would suck.
Me too. Being poor sucks. =P But yay for our upcoming trip \0/ Less than a year to go xD
So far it's been fun, so don't worry about it. =)

Date: 2012-07-03 09:57 pm (UTC)If I do get to go to Japan in autumn, I'll definitely visit both Kyoto and Nara!
And uwah, now I want to visit London again! I've been there once,
but it was just a quick one-day visit, so you couldn't see much of the city.
And yeah, we'll see how long each of us is able to stick with this thing! :D

Date: 2012-07-04 03:27 pm (UTC)You definitely should and I'm sure you will go many times. =D (you were going to Osaka, right?) I mean they are less than an hour away from each other, if I don't remember it completely wrong. You still haven't heard back from the university?
London is super awesome and I hope you'll get a chance to go there again and spend some more time exploring.
Let's try our best, who knows maybe we'll even finish? =D It could happen...
