oanjaBecause I actually have fics in progress and it's kind of awesome to me (after not writing anything between 2008-2011)
1) The one about werewolves. That is kind of Spencer/Ryan but will end up being Brendon/Spencer because Ryan is an idiot. Mostly I'm writing this because I want to write about alpha!Spencer and boys being flaily about feelings. Also because I've been spending way too much time thinking about how a world where everyone is a werewolf would work. Like could you even have democracy etc. I have a lot of things in mind that will never be relevant to the fic. Heh~
This is the newest wip and I only have about 3000 words written for it, but I'm hoping this is going to be this years big bang fic.
2) The Family Man AU The movie was on when I was at home for Christmas and I'm a sucker for it, I'll admit it. So in my version starts with basically our world where Ryan is an unemployed hipster but then wakes up to a life where the band never happened and he instead married Spencer and they have a kid (adopted) And Ryan kind of hates it, because it's so mundane (he has a respectable job and everything) but at the same time he can't help but to love having Spencer back in his life (and this version still loves him)
I've only written the first scene for this so I have barely a thousand words, but I really want to write this one... one day
3) The one where Brendon and Spencer adopt a kid (or two) I don't really have much more to add to this one. It's just a fluffy story about Brendon and Spencer starting a family, and I spent way too much time googling how the foster parent system works and how you actually adopt a kid in California

4) the fic where Spencer and Ryan grow up as army brats I don't really know where I want this one to go and I've rewritten the beginning twice. I just like the idea that they could have met up like this. But I know nothing about how living on base works and if it would even be possible for them to stay in the same place long enough. (I have this idea that people are moved around a lot if you work for the armed forces in the States) But if I did write this I would want them to be bff's like normal and then Spencer would want to join up (like his dad) and Ryan, who kind of hates everything about the lifestyle and can't wait to get out get's super mad with Spencer and they go their separate ways, but somehow meet years later and fall in love? IDK!
I have almost nothing written for this.
5) The fic where Brendon is a nurse and Spencer is a paramedic with a kid And that's basically it. They meet, Brendon becomes Spencer's tenant, Spencer's kid adores Brendon and Spencer does too but is a failboat and won't admit it. And then stuff happens and they fall in love.
9000 words written and they just met. *facepalm* I keep getting distracted by wanting to tell their whole life stories and it's kind of ridiculous. Also I think this is the first bandom fic I started writing and this was supposed to be my BBB story.
6) The scifi AU See? Not all of my fics are kid!fic (I try to tell myself...) in this one Spencer and Ryan grew up in an evil empire, where people were drafted to the army and their bodies fused with these mecha type armor and Spencer joined to protect his family. So he's not really human anymore and Ryan somehow saved him(?) and they ran away from the empires reach. Then there is Brendon, who grew up in a nicer empire, except his planet was super religious and Brendon left as soon as he was old enough. Obviously they all meet eventually and go on an epic quest to make Spencer a real boy again. This is supposed to be a Brendon/Spencer/Ryan story.
I just have the part written where Brendon leaves his planet...
7) The Pete/Spencer one! Don't ask me where this idea came from, but I kind of like it. It's not supposed to be about falling in love or anything like that. More about two guys helping each other out because their platonic soulmates are busy with other things. (Brendon with Sarah and Patrick with his solo thing)
About 1500 words done.
8) Then there is the one where I want all bandom boys to go to the Salem Institute of Magic, so basically a Hogwarts AU, except in America I haven't actually written anything for this, except I have done a lot of background work on who the teachers would be, what the subjects of classes would be and what the books would be called. Then there is the fact that I drew a campus map, and calculated how many students the school would have. I also created houses for people and how you'd be sorted etc etc. I have no idea what the plot would be or anything useful like that. ^_^;
9) My Harry Potter story I was supposed to write this for the mpreg big bang, but then I ran out of time (mostly because I was in the hospital for a week) I actually got 17,000 words done, but I think it still needs at least 10,000 more for me to wrap up. It's Harry/Ron and pretty basic mpreg story, but I like it. *nod nod*
Now I just need to actually finish some of these.
10) I have written nothing for this, but I also kind of want to write the story about Pete and Patrick, from my BBB. I felt kind of bad about the way things ended for them, but there was no way for me to get into their drama from Spencer's point of view. So maybe one day I will write a fic where Pete manages to make things up to Patrick and they can have their happily ever after.

I really like the amount of kid!fic in this list *_* And I really like the way you always plan things so thoroughly. It's so much more enjoyable to read on AU where the world has been planned out than those that do not do it properly, but you seem to always manage that especially well ^^
The Pete/Spencer, I really, really would like it if you'd write more of it. Because having a fic like that, with no romantic ulterior motives is kind of really refreshing.
And number 10, definately. I'd really like to know what happened to them after all. But graah now this is just turning into a list of all of the above so just. I'd love to see you writing basically Anything *_*

Date: 2012-02-17 10:07 pm (UTC)Haha~ yeah, it's super weird how much I love kidfic, considering how much I dislike kids in real life. =D And I'm glad you like the details I put into my stories, because I'm pretty sure some people find them boring... But this is how my brain works. ^_^
I know! That is the best part about the whole idea, that they're not going to fall in love. But at the same time it's the hardest part for me because it seems my brain is made of fluff and every time I try to work on the story feelings somehow sneak into it. I have to work on it. =D

Yeah, it's the same for me :D But I think it's a good and easy way to get siedätyshoitoa, before I actually have to start thinking about getting my own... Well, on top of you actually thinking things through I think you also link them quite seamlessly into the stories so they don't feel like: 'let's take a break and talk about how this world works sequences.' but more like real parts of the story. :)
:D Well, I'd also like it if it went that root, because the beginning is already so different from most. And well, I don't actually have anything Against feeling you know :D
