Went to a small scale family re-union today

It was really small though, there were only eleven of us at my granny's summerhouse. But it was cool none the less, I saw five of my cousins, one of them for the first time ever, my uncle showed us how to hit golf balls, we had a barbeque etc. Good times, except that it was insanely hot. I totally blame global warming, it never used to get this hot during summer when I was a kid...

But yeah, I met this cousin of mine, Katja, for the first time today. She's about thirty and we didn't really even know she existed before this summer... I mean we knew she was alive but nobody in my family had met her. Her mother just slept with one of my uncles to get pregnant and then didn't let my uncle or anyone of us see her. Weird... I think my uncle saw her once when she was three and my granny had a photo of her from that time. Then suddenly this year she contacted her father and now she's been pretty interested in seeing her cousins, granny, dad etc.

She was really nice, married, two kids and two dogs. I liked her and it wasn't even that awkward after the first few minutes. I think the dogs and the kids were a good ice-breaker. Weird to think that my granny is a great-grandmother now and one of my uncle is a grandad already. I think she is going to keep contact with us from now on. I wonder though what her mother thinks about all this, when she was so against her daughter having anything to do with us when she was a child.

Hee, kuulostaa mukavalta. Etenkin se, että pääsee tapaamaan sellaisiakin sukulaisia joita ei ennen ehkä ole nähnyt. Se on jännä miten nopeasti sitä kuitenkin jotain yhteistä löytyy.

Waude kuulostaa aika Kauniit ja Rohkeat meiningiltä!:D Mutta melko siistiä toisaalta että popsahtelee tolleen vaan uusia perheenjäseniä. Jospa jostain vielä ilmaantuisi se rikas mummo/vaari/isoenon sedän kaima joka jättäisi sen ison perinnön..:)

Joo hieman randomia, mut toisaaltu puhuu facebookin puolesta kun sen kautta löytää kauan kadoksissa olleita sukulaisiaan noin vaan. xD

...sitä yllätysperintöä odotellessa jne...

Mites sinne teille? Joko on muutto loppu ja alkaako uus kämpää tuntua kotoisalta? Oliko iso/pieni se asunto. (kauhee kysely alkaa heti.)

JOO muutto alkaa olla silleen aika hyvin nyt paketissa. Keittöstä tosin puuttuu pöytä ja tuolit ja lattioilta matot plus verhot ikkunoista..... Ja sit me suunnitellaan vielä parvekekaluston ostamista. Heheheee kamalasti rahanmenoa! Mut joo, saapi tulla käymään! Millos tulet Joensuuhun taas?:)

Tosiaan rahanreikää tuntuu löytyvän aina. =) Mutta sehän kuuluu oikeestaan asiaan muuton yhteydessä.

En tiiä oikein Joensuussa olosta, mut pitää ilmotella jos sattuu sellanen sauma, että vois tulla käymään. ^_^
