Hello internets
Jan. 16th, 2012 08:02 pmI got to come back home today... after spending a week in the hospital. I have a thrombosis in my left leg, but it's finally getting better so they let me leave. (awesome timing too because I finally got to see the new Sherlock episode... and yes my priorities are perfectly sane)
I saw at least a dozen doctors, had more blood drawn than I'm comfortable with, gave myself shots (I'm definitely cured from my fear of needles now) had an ultrasound done on my leg as well as a x-ray of my chest. The nurses were very nice, the food bland and the bed horrible to sleep in.
I have to take blood-thinning medicine at least for six months now and if I'm unlucky and the clot was caused by my genes I might have to take pills for the rest of my life. (I'm really hoping that won't happen)
Hopefully the year will get better from now on.
