Tavattiin elokuussa 2005 Suomen ekalla wirallisella jrock-keikalla Turussa. Keikka (bändi oli Blood, jtlyk) oli paikallisessa kuppilassa ja aivan täynnä jännästi pukeutunutta porukkaa. Jonotettiin sisälle ja satuin huomaamaan miten hieno laukku Tanjalla oli ja hetkellisestä mielenhäiriöstä johtuen sanoin sen ääneen (suomessahan ei kuulu kehua kenenkään asua jne.). Tästä selkeästi järkyttyneenä Tanja kääntyi ympäri, sanoi ”kiitti, se on ostettu Hyvinkäältä”. Tämä oli niin mielenkiintoinen fakta (ja mulla oli tylsää), että päätin kiusata tätä vierasta ihmistä lisää small talkilla ja siitä se sitten lähti. Keikan aikana keikuttiin taka-alalla ja väisteltiin niitä kaikkein viiropäisempiä teinityttöjä sekä kommentoitiin bändin kimono+korsetti+paljon lateksia -asuvalintoja. Keikan loputtua vaihdettiin mailiosoitteita ja Tanja lähti kaverinsa luo yöksi ja minä harhailin odottamaan ekaa bussia Paraisille.

(ps. I'm so sorry about this (crack) xD but I had to escape feminist theory for the night. Also, somehow this reminds me of “Would I lie to you” TV show.)

Aws. =) Ja se on ihan totta, ettei täällä voi mitään sanoa tuntemattomille randomisti. Kerran ku olin Ankkarockissa oottamassa jotain bändiä nii yks tyttö sano että mun kynnet on hienot (ne oli sillon pitkät ja mustaa lakkaa) meinasin saada sydärin. xD En muuten ole ikinä käyny Hyvinkäällä, siitä iso boonus siis. ^^

Ah what could be better than feminist theory?! You must be lying about needing a break from that surely. =) What's that show about? Sounds vaguelly familiar.

Toi Would I lie to you on brittiohjelma, siinä on kaksi joukkuetta joiden jokaisella jäsenellä on kolme "tositarinaa", joista vain yksi on oikeasti totta ja vastapuoli yrittää päätellä että mikä se niistä on. Se on ihan hauskaa, jos on hyvät vieraat (ja jos kaikki niiden tarinat on ihan uskomattoman kuuloisia).

I remember meeting you at Navy Pier in Chicago years ago. What was it, June? Maybe August. We were in line for the ferris wheel by ourselves, but since it was busy tourist time, we were put in with 4 other people. But those 4 people were together and they didn't even speak English. I think it was French. While I can read it a little, I definitely couldn't understand it and neither could you. So that's what bonded us, and that you said you could speak Finnish. I had never heard it before, so I taught you a bit of Spanish that I knew and you taught me some Finnish.

I'll never forget it! Meeting people by happenstance is the best!

And I've had very fond memories about Navy Pier ever since! Also Spanish is absolutely impossible for me to pronounce so I was extra happy that you didn't laugh at my attempts too hard.

When I was a little girl my mother brought me to kindergarten and there I met Tanja. I can't specify the exact moment I get to know her but I can remember that she had light blue Chip n' Dale shirt I was really jealous about. If I recall correctly I only get to wore those neon colors that were really popular in 90's. BUT I had one red shirt whit Mickey Mouse head on it.... Oh joy!
And I remember that I had been sick for a while and when I came back to kindergarten Tanja came to ask me where have I been so long.:)<3
