Yay~ How awesome is this? US Senate repeals DADT

In other news: I'm home, which is also worth a yay. =D Except I have three weeks long Holiday so I might change my mind after a while. Especially because this computer is OLD and slow and annoying. Well maybe that means I will spend less time on it? Somehow that doesn't seem likely though.

Jeij!

I know what you mean. I'm home for two weeks and I took my laptop along, but it is literally falling apart. No one in my family has net access. Right now I'm getting wi=fi from the neighbor. Once I go to my Dad's I'll be down to using really crappy free dial-up and where my Mom lives there will be no net access at all.

I guess this means that I'll actually visit with them and not spend the whole time on the computer. lol

Haha~ yeah best to think of the positive things and not dwell on the negative. I hope we can both deal with all this socializing though. =D

Finally! After Clinton already did that and it was all reversed again with Bush it was about time to change that again. Though I do think that openly gay people still are facing a really tough time at the military *sighs*

Haha, hey, spending less time at the comp can be good too^^

Actually it was the Clinton administration that came up with DADT, but yeah I doubt that many people are going to come out or anything like that. Well at least now they wont be fired from their job just for being gay.

That is very true, I brought a lot of books with me so I'm hoping to read them during the Holidays. =)

(also yay for the Big Bang Theory! Gotta love Sheldon. ^^)

*late reply* But well, Clinton wasn't all too happy with this. It was more a compromise between him and the military, no? I think he wanted to loosen the ties even more.
But honestly, even IF it was "allowed" to be open and forbidden to repress homosexuals in the military, would you be open about it in their place? People are still way too stuck up and stubbornly sticking to their points of view without being tolerant.

Aw, Sheldon is pure and utter love!
