I wanna get a masters degree abroad! Waaaaah~ Why is it so confusing/expensive/complicated?
Also I haven't even finished the first one... and if I finish this one does that mean I should be looking for PhD programs instead? Can I repeat: Confusing!!!!

I'm getting the feeling again that tells me I will never ever get a job. Also that I just generally suck. =P

This is why I shouldn't be allowed to update my journal wile I am on campus, I tend to feel quite disheartened. Also cranky.
I still have one lecture from two to four and then I need to find a pressie for my graduating cousin and go to the gym.
I'm going home for the weekend so I wont be at the flat when all the moving is going on, well I might be there on Monday when the new flatmate will move in.

Aargh, it's almost November and that means I should start writing my thesis, or at least start working on it (find my source materials and reference books) D=

And why do I want to continue studying again???

If you are already getting a Masters right now, that doesn't mean you can't get another one, just in something different. I'm working on my Masters right now, and it's different from my Bachelors, but I'm thinking of maybe getting another Masters in something else later on. If you continue on in your field, though, you will be working toward your PhD. Also, sometimes in the States at least, programs are grouped together as Masters/PhD programs where it's both, so watch out for that. And as for why is it so expensive? I don't know, but it fucking sucks.

\0/ Thank you for awesome clarification. This is how I thought these things work but couldn't actually find it spelled out plainly anywhere.

What did you switch to for your masters? (you did your Bachelors in linguistics, right?)

Money always manages to make things more complicated than they should be. *grumble grumble*

No problem! Yeah, I hate that. I'm having the same problem with trying to find stuff specifically spend out -intelligibly- about substitute teaching for my state. Bah.

Yep! I'm doing TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). It's not a HUGE switch, but I wanted to go the applied route, and a Masters in Ling is allllll about research and continuing to be a productive contributor to the field and stuff.

Ugh, yeah. Haaaaate.

I think they want to wean out some of the applicants by making the info as hard as possible to come by and/or the people responsible for the web-designs are all sadists. x)

That actually sounds very useful, like you can get an actual job and everything after you graduate. Now I'm envious. =D

UGH. University websites are THE WORST. Seriously. I want to go to my old school and be like "HIRE ME. I WILL MAKE YOUR SITE NAVIGABLE!"

I certainly hope so! Lol. Aww :p

Tanja, hiljaa! Mäkin haluun ulkomaille opiskelemaan (clearly the answer is to go together, y/y), koska täälläkin näyttää sujuvan niin hienosti. x) As in, oon tässä yrittänyt vääntää sitä pirun esseetä eikä onnistu, kun en tajuu. Eli istun koneella ja stalkkaan ihmisiä/luen fikkiä/olen epätoivoinen. Dx

Kiäh kiäh kiäh! *evil laugh is evil* Selvästi se on ratkaisu tähän ongelmaan.

^_^' (fail much, me?)

you can still do a second masters abroad after you've finished the current one. :P there's nothing that speaks against that (except maybe the financing of it). good luck :D
