Random story of the day: I was listening to the radio on Monday and they were talking about how you can send them comments/messages etc by text message or straight to their webpage from your mobile. One of the dj's said that she couldn't do that because her phone is old and doesn't let you browse the web. Then they play a song and when they come back the woman says that a telemarketer had called the studio number during the song and tried to sell her a new phone/service provider. Man... that is just crazy, but also kind of hilarious. ^_^
Oh and Weekend at Bobby's was the most awesome Supernatural episode in a long long time. (aka my love for Crowley knows no bounds) Like they said at televisionwithoutpity: "When did the supporting characters on this show get to be so awesome, and why have the leads become so lame?"
And while we are talking about SPN what the fuck was up with the end of season 5? (I just caught up on the show) I mean especially the way they used the other gods. I mean what the fuck??? How is an angel going to be more powerful than a god? How does that make sense in any universe? The whole episode was like American Gods if it had been written by a moron insted of Neil Gaiman. And why is Crowley called Crowley? Is that some kind of a nod to Good Omens? And that prophet guy was God? Argh... Show, why so ridiculous? And why can't I stop watching?
The new photoshoot of Chris Pine came out today and I have to say I like this photo a lot, like a LOT lot.

He's just so skinny and slinky and the pose! Now I just want some hustler/rentboy fic and maybe some fic where Chris is a dancer. Hum... Maybe I wanted to say something else about the photo but somehow it has escaped me. x) And I'm not even a big fan of his, which reminds me that I saw the Princess Diaries 2 when it came on TV this weekend (or maybe it was on Monday) He was kind of ridiculous in it but mostly I thought so because of his hair. I still like Anne Hathaway and the movie reminded me how much I liked Meg Cabbot's books.

Date: 2010-10-20 10:13 am (UTC)Aw, don't be so cruel to Sam and Dean! We all know it's an American show, made for the American audience with American ideals. I don't know how much you saw of season 5 but some things I thought were pretty damn awesome! I loved Crowley too and I really loved 'Death' as a character.
Some things did piss me off or then they left me just thinking that what the fuck are they doing in Season 6? How are you going to top the apocalypse? I have no idea, but I'm curious anyways. Hopefully not that much moping and whining anymore but a lil' more fun.
Aside from Castiel, my fav side-character is the prophet, btw. He's just sweet!
Haha, you are wondering how an angel can be more powerful than a god? I think it is a synonym for Christianity to be more powerful than any other belief. At least that's how it appeared to me. Not that I think it's true but yeah...
The thing that annoyed me the most was that the whole apocalypse seemed to only take place in the US and nowhere else. I mean, I don't expect them to shoot the series all over the world but they could have at least mentioned it, eh?

Date: 2010-10-20 03:13 pm (UTC)I do like the show, a lot even but yeah the drama with Sam and Dean is getting a bit old... and like you said, how are they going to top the apocalypse? I kind of wish the show would have ended with season 5. I have watched all the episodes and yeah season 5 did have some cool episodes, it's just that it also had pretty lame things too. ^_^;
I like Bobby and Crowley the best but yeah Castiel and the phophet are/were cool as well. Like I said in the entry the minor characters have been getting cooler and cooler while the main characters not so much. (imo)
Like one of the gods in the episode said the arrogance!!! Argh! That's one of the things I didn't like about the whole apocalypse storyline was the whole Christianity bull. And the fact that the angel was able to completely annihilate all the gods was the last straw for me. D= Yuck...
Haha~ that is so true, I didn't really think about it while I was watching but now that you mention it, it does seem ridiculous. =)
