I decided that I don't really need sleep and my time would be better spent if I watched three hockey matches instead.

Russia (4-2) Czech game was really interesting to watch. Both teams were so controlling of the middle of the rink (whut the fuck is it in english anyway...) so that made the whole game seem a bit chaotic at times. The teams were pretty equally matched in skill too, I mean the last goal came right at the end and went into an empty goal so it doesn't really count.

Canada (3-5) USA game: wow it didn't even take a minute before the first goal... =O And who would have thought that Canada would lose, especially when Canada seemed to be controlling the game most of the time.

Finland (0-3) Sweden: wow; we sucked. I think that sums it up pretty well.

Then to balance out all this ramble about sports let me vent about a music video.

I mean seriously! O_O
1) There should be a warning that it can cause seizures. What is up with that crazy editing?
2) Beyonce and Lady Gaga are hot together, discounting all the ridiculous toy guns (what are those supposed to mean?)
3) I felt like I was watching (weird softcore)  porn at times. I'm sure this reaction is just me being a prude or something but if I was a dude that would have given me a woody... (I think I very strongly oppose of this trend in music videos, where women are so explicitly objectified.)
4) What was up with the lyrics? Is Beyonce going to sell the song to some cell phone company to use in commercials?
And bonus: The guys with cameras as their heads reminded me of the movie theaters in Japan where they had this infomercial before the movie started, that warned people not to film the movie and how it's illegal. During the whole thing there was this dude dancing around with a camera as his head. I think someone stole the idea from Japan! =D

I watched only the first (our) match, but dear I was disappointed with that result. I really hoped we could make it. They played SO GOOOOD. *sigh* Now, we have to win again with the Latvia and then I guess, our teams will meet. ;-)

Toltahan useimmat musavideot nykyisin näyttää ja kuulostaa En oikeesti muista biisin sanoista enää mitään muuta kuin epämääräisen huohotuksen. Oliks siinä joku sanomakin? Ainoa hyvä pointti oli kameramiehet ja Beyoncen hieno Japani-asu. Muuten se oli tosi plääh ja ihmettelen miten kukaan jaksaa enää kiinnostua siitä miten vähän vaatteita laulajilla on tai millaisiin asentoihin ne saa itsensä väännettyä, kun tuntuu että it's all already been done. Ja olen oikeestaan vähän pettynyt Gagaan, koska sen olis ihan selkeesti pitänyt pistää ne miehet sukkanauhavöihin ja outoihin korsettitoppeihin. Leluaseista tulee mieleen vain se, että tytöt yrittää näyttää kovilta mutta ei hätää poitsut, ei me oikeesti olla vaarallisii, hihi. x( *feminist rage*

I remember seeing this video back in November or December and just shaking my head. I don't care about the obvious objectification because they are known for it and do it willingly as an empowerment thing; there's just usually a point to it. Idk, it's just silly. The song isn't very good, in my opinion.

Also, those boots are awesome. Especially with that skirt. A++

It was quite a sad morning. The play seemed just the same as I was feeling after two hours of sleep... I really hope this was just the Sweden thing and not their actual playing capabilities...

That video really should come with warnings... It causes headache >.<
This is the stupid kind of songs that I just have to listen on repeat for a day, not because I like it but if I don't, it will be stuck in my head for days and I really don't want that.

In videos like these I take the objectification as empowerment, I'm more enraged by the man artist videos where they have tons of underclad women clinging to them for money and fame... But maybe thats just me ^^;
And I love the fact that Beyonce has flesh on her bones, she looks really good. And I'm still not used to seeing Lady Gaga's face...
But yes, porn is everywhere. The days when seeing a flash of tigh was rare are loooooong gone...

To me there is nothing empowering about videos like that but I do agree with you that the other kind of videos are even worse.
Yeah she's really beautiful and I'm always surprised how pretty Lady Gaga actually is when you can see her face. =)

Well, I'm hanging in between actually over that fact. Because you could see that as mocking the men and the objectification and as show of aggressive woman sexuality. Although, it's not a very good one..
She's one of the artist that I heard songs from for a long time before actually seeing her so it is odd. But pretty she is ^^
It is. I don't get it why the artists are still trying to go the less clothes more sold records path as it is like that already. I think Rammstein is the one who went to the far extreme with their video for Pussy...
