Went to see Iron Man 3 today (by myself... that's always kind of sad) and it was great! Best Iron Man movie so far, and I might even have liked it more than I liked the Avengers. =O
The kid in the movie though... He was like the epitome of a kidfic kid. Not in a bad way! But yeah he would fit into any kidfic written where Tony Stark is involved. I will gleefully wait for people to actually write fic where Tony somehow ends up with that kid. I wish kids were that awesome in real life, if they were, I might even want one myself. (doubtful , but anyway)
I dunno what people thought of the Mandarin though... I mean was he supposed to be a poc character? I mean it was obvious to me from the start that it was a white guy. Is this problematic? I seriously can't tell anymore. I think the safe bet is, that the answer is yes.
Pepper really is too good for Tony, I can't get over this. Girl get away from him before you really become a 'girlfriend in the fridge'. I never believed it for a second in the movie though, that she could die, so I dunno what the point of that was (I doubt anyone in the audience really thought so either, but maybe I'm wrong) still it made the scene less meaningful to me. But I liked the fact that Pepper saved Tony too and not just Tony saving Pepper, even though there was too much of that too.
...Also what was Killian's deal with Pepper? I mean I know Pepper said they knew each other from somewhere but to me his obsession with her came out of nowhere and just seemed stupid and made Pepper this thing he and Tony fought over *blergh*
Hmm, it seems I'm complaining a lot about a movie I really liked. Go figure :D
There is so much hockey coming up!!!! I had to make myself an actual schedule. :D
