They had snow sculptures as well, here are my favourites:

I think this fishie won the competition. It's pretty cute.


I dunno if they had a theme of what, 'cause all the animals... I mean there were a few abstract sculptures that weren't very interesting to me and then the Reaper Man but all the others were animals. And no dinosaur skeletons, which is a shame.

Way so cool. Almost makes me want to put on some serious winterclothes and go out there and play with the snow myself~ Not that I could ever make something that awesome :D The skulls, 2.eagle, owl and the fish are my favorites. So basically everything... Is the fish made my carving it hollow just from one side? Because it actually looks like it's swimming in water :o

Looks like a fun day. :) Wish we had something like that here, but we just have a whole lot of snow! :p Mumintrollet was cute! And the ice sculptures was cool. I admire those who have the patience and skill to do them.

It's been kind of a weird winter though, like there hasn't been proper suvikeli, so one could make snowmen etc. But yeah I always ran out of patience with making snowmen so I could never do anything as cool either, they are cool to look at though. ^^

It was fun, but cold. =) And yeah Momin's are cute, even when they are made of snow. Me too, it must take insane amounts of patience and practise to make such pretty things. ^^
