Ask away, I don't mind! It's fun to have someone to talk to about this. :)

The main druid circles are Land, Moon, Dream and Shepherd. I think Circle of the Moon is the "best" if you want to be a fighter druid, but I chose Land because it is the more traditional druid character. The action is spell-based and there's a lot of woo nature stuff which I love. :D (I can hit monsters too but it's pretty pathetic even with my orc heritage. And my weapons... I have a little dagger and a sling :'D) You can also choose different paths under the Circle of the Land. I chose Mountain because it fits my character, story-wise, but I think it would be fun to be a Swamp druid who can cast gross spells.

I'd say it's been about 50/50 so far - we're playing Out of the Abyss, which is described as a rough campaign. Not because it's necessarily difficult (that's up to the DM of course :P) but because it's a pretty fixed story and you can't improvise with event order and stuff like that. I think it's both a good and a bad choice for a newbie DM, in a way? So, the campaign itself divides downtime/RPing and the fights pretty well.

What's your campaign like?
