The Avengers. Finally!

oanjaOkay so... The movie was great and funny (Josh Whedon ilu and your brand of banter) but I have to admit the hype was too much and I had too high expectations for the film. There was no way for it to be as awesome as I had made it out to be in my mind. *pout*
Still there were many awesome things that I adored:
♥ Iron Man. Seriously that guy... He's been my favourite since Iron Man came out and there is no way anyone could usurp him. He got the funniest lines and also the most bad ass action. (seriously there is no way they could have won without him. The nuke, anyone?)
♥ Hawkeye was surprisingly cool. (Gotta keep up with my approval of people fighting weird stuff with a bow and arrows)
♥ Loki remains flawless thanks to Hiddles. I have no idea why he actually decided to attack earth though. Was it just so he could give the tesseract to those weird aliens? O_o Or to mess with Thor? But wouldn't he have attacked Asgard in that case? Definitely ended up shipping him with every person he crossed paths with though... well except the Hulk.
♥ Tony and Banner talking about science and being all buddy buddy. I mean at the end when they got to that car together? And when the Hulk saved his life? So where is the fic for this pairing. I'll sign up.
♥ But I still ship Tony/Steve too~ They were getting closer the whole movie and when Tony was falling the look on Steve's face ♥_♥ Urgh, just in general, I'll need so much fic now.
♥ I also think that Loki and Tony should be bbf's. They have a lot in common imo and it would be hilarious. *nod nod*
Things that weren't so awesome:
- 3D. I hate it with the passion of a thousand suns. Seriously why do they keep doing this to good movies?! (I know, I know it's the money) Either film the fucking thing in 3D in the first place or don't put 3D in it at all.
- They killed Coulson! How dare you! I know he's not canon in the comics but he was in the movieverse and this is just not fair. *temper tantrum*
- The weird aliens. What was their deal? I know they wanted the tesseract but why? Was it theirs originally? What were they going to do with it?
- The whole nuke thing and the council. wtf? How was the bonb supposed to help anything? They already established that the barrier around the tesseract was impenetrable, so the only thing the bomb would have done is kill 8 million people on Manhattan...
- They had that cage thing for the Hulk, but how on earth would they ever have gotten him in it in time? Makes no sense. And how was the cage stopping Loki from using magic and just zapping himself out of there? Nobody thought to ask that? I mean why did Loki let himself be kept prisoner? Was it just to buy time for Solveigh to built that bridge thing? To taunt the Avengers?
-Thor's girlfriend. Why wasn't she working on the tesseract with Solveigh? Wasn't she the expert and not him? Did they have some kind of scheduling issue and couldn't have the actor in the movie? Because wouldn't it have created better drama between Thor and Loki if Loki had bewitched her instead of that guy?
